NARAL Pro-Choice New Mexico Foundation is looking for a qualified Community Organizer to implement various community education, outreach and organizing campaigns in the Las Cruces area.
Summary:
The Community Organizer will be responsible for developing and implementing various community education, outreach and organizing campaign plans in the Las Cruces Area, with a special emphasis on coalition building and contraception education for young women.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement various education, outreach and organizing campaign plans in the Las Cruces area;
Work to ensure that NARAL Pro-Choice New Mexico Foundation achieves its goals for activist, leadership development, visibility and prominence in the Las Cruces;
Coordinate volunteers by developing the volunteer base and a system for developing leaders in order to carry out the plan;
Manage data collection and lists.
Communicate and build relationships and coalitions with other interest groups in the community;
Oversee NMSU Campus Organizers;
Help manage and facilitate Las Cruces Choice Action Teams and/or other ongoing structured outreach programs
Assist with fundraising when necessary;
Establish and maintain strong communications with other NARAL Pro-Choice New Mexico organizers and staff around the state; and
Other responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director.
