NARAL Pro-Choice NM Director Appointed to Commission on the Status of Women
Albuquerque, NM – Governor Richardson has appointed NARAL Pro-Choice New Mexico Executive Director Giovanna Rossi to the 13 member Commission on the Status of Women.
"I'm thrilled about the appointment and look forward to working with the Commission to improve the quality of all New Mexico women and girls’ lives", stated NARAL Pro-Choice NM Executive Director Giovanna Rossi.
The Commission, created by state statute in 1973, is a state agency dedicated to increasing the awareness of the rights, responsibilities, and interests of women and girls in New Mexico, and to preserve women's history and contributions to the state.
NARAL Pro-Choice New Mexico works to expand access to all reproductive health options, including contraceptives, abortion and carrying a healthy pregnancy to term.
